I think it’s useful, as a famous person, to have as little separation between the perception of you and how you really are - because otherwise I’d be sitting here thinking I’m keeping secrets, and wondering when you’re going to find out.
Thomas and Jimmy | DA Season 4
just give me a try.
Reblog. Because - hnnnnh, HOTNESS!
Though Jimmy’s supposed to be disgusted by Thomas and it’d be logical he avoided him, he’s seeking for interaction during the whole episode. Sadly for Thomas, the only kind of interaction Jimmy is capable of is nastiness, as if Jimmy wanted all the same to keep a connection with him, but were prevented from expressing his feelings and thus, were limited to use the only one socially acceptable.
I can’t get over Jimmy’s reaction.
i still can’t tell if this is intentional or not
jimmy’s reaction is genuine (imo this is one of his only genuine moments besides erotic clock winding and the end of the CS), but what does he actually think about it? like he already (probably) knows that thomas is interested in him (presumably, i guess) so why does he not take it the wrong way this time???
it actually does fit with my headcanon for jimmy though
My feelings exactly all along. Like this scene would not and could not be how it was if Jimmy really felt the way he griped to O’Brien that he did. Like, he would have noticed Thomas alone in there and just b-lined his way back tot he kitchen or something and most certainly would not have chuckled and smiled like that.
My headcanon for Jimmy these days (it’s lucky we have all these months to speculate and keep changing our minds, really) is that he’s been to this point with men before. He knows how to flirt (much better than with women. Compare exhibits A and B, “Well, if you do you’re on your own” and “I try to be [prepared] Mr. Barrow” with C and D, “She’s not my type” and “Damn, girl, you’re hot as toast”) he knows how to set up plausible deniability with O’Brien, and in moments like this he seems to enjoy it. But then Thomas goes where no other man has with him and changes the game. As well as being surprising in itself, the midnight kiss does not fit Jimmy’s rules. Alfred’s appearance is dramatic but unnecessary. Jimmy’s reaction would have been the same regardless. It takes him a year to sort through the fallout from this unprecedented turn of events, and at the end, he comes to the conclusion that while he does care for Thomas (the post-fight bedroom look! The Look!) he just can’t go there.
I love your headcanon, Gigi.
I’d like to think that Jimmy’s reaction wouldn’t have been quite so violent if Alfred hadn’t come in. Yes, I think it still would have been frightened, offended rejection, but I believe the hostility and panic are due to there having been a witness.
Yes, I think so, too. He almost immediately turned to Alfred and said “And if you tell anyone…!!!!!”
awww you guys!! <3
"You know the trouble with you lot? You’re all in love with the wrong people!"
